Dust extraction while grinding

Dust extraction while grinding

Why to apply dust extraction while grinding?

Grinding is a process during which fine dust elements are created, which are spread to the surrounding areas, where they tend to settle.

Therefore they are present in the breathing area of employees, which is undesirable.
Their high concentration, and especially settling, can cause explosive and dangerous environments, which is undesirable. The purpose of extraction and filtration equipment is for the extraction of dust away from the grinding area, and therefore prevents it appearing in employees breathing areas and settling in surrounding areas.

How to apply dust extraction while grinding?

For dust extraction while grinding in businesses where only small parts are worked, we suggest to divide the business into individual small workplaces, which are individually equipped with their own extractor fan in order to catch the dust.

While grinding bigger parts, there can be an extracting wall to catch the dust. This wall is composed of individual extractor fans.

For dust extraction while grinding, individual workplaces are connected by a central extraction pipeline which secures extracted dust, and it is led into the central extraction and filtration equipment where dust is separated from air particles.
In summer the clean, filtered air is lead into an outdoor area and in winter back into a hall area, the result being expressive reduction of heating costs. By the suitable placement of exhausting sleeves, we enable the correct technical air circulation in the grinding area. For the most demanding cases of grinding we supply systems with closed grinding cabins.

Choice of equipment for dust extraction while grinding

For dust extraction while grinding we recommend CARM GH line filters. The size of extraction and filtration equipment we recommend depends on the type and amount of grinding material, and the size of workplaces and their working load.
