Dust extraction while handling coal

Extraction while handling coal

Why to apply extraction while handling coal?

While manipulating and burning coal, dust elements, which spread and settle in surrounding areas are created, which is undesirable.
Their high concentration, and especially settling, can cause a dangerous and explosive environment, which is undesirable. This includes mostly emptying while loading material, retracting milling machines and ploughs, transfer to conveyers and containers above the wood burner filler.

The purpose of extraction and filtration equipment is for the extraction of dust as close as possible to its source and prevent it spreading and settling in surrounding areas.

How to apply extraction while handling coal?

For the extraction of dust while handling coal, individual sources of dust are cover protected by extraction and filtration equipment kept under continuous pressure. For removing dust from remote transfer points we use point filters CARM V-BF series and filters of CARM V series, placed directly above the dust source, which do not require an extracting pipe system.

For dust sources close to each other we suggest the use of central extraction. The system of central dust extraction while handling coal can be completed with an extraction-operation control, depending on the amount of active extraction places – which results in a saving of electrical energy.
Regulation is achieved by the means of a frequency-changing switch connected with automatic valves.

Choice of dust extraction while handling coal

For removing dust from remote transfer points and local sources of dust we recommend spot CARM V-BE series filters and CARM V series filters.

We design cover protection individually for specific situations. For central dust extraction while handling coal we recommend CARM GH series filters. This equipment has to be designed for the dust extraction of combustibles which, together with air, create an explosive atmosphere.
